Highlights of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro
- Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be coming to India on 6th June 2024.

Introduction
Vivo entered the foldable smartphone market with the introduction of the Vivo X Fold in April 2022 in China. The availability was solely restricted to China which was a major setback for the brand because the consumers outside China were also willing to get their hands on the phone but couldn’t. The third generation of the fold series launched in March 2024 in China. Vivo is now set to launch the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India in a few days.
Design and Build
The Vivo foldable flagship is said to launch with a carbon-fiber hinge for better longevity of the hinge mechanism. It is also said to weigh 236 grams which is a tad bit less than the Oneplus Open and will come with an IPX8 rating like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The folded width will be much less at 11.2mm.
Display
The X Fold 3 Pro is to feature a Samsung E7 AMOLED display standing at 8.03″ offering a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display will be an LTPO panel which will offer a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The offered resolution will be 2480 X 2200 pixels which will give a 413 ppi density.
The cover display will be a 6.53″ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz which would also be providing a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The resolution of the cover display will be 2748 X 1172 pixels. The cover screen will offer an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
Camera
The rear cameras will be a combination of 50MP with Laser AF technology for fast focusing on the subject and Optical Image Stabilization for good stability. The 64MP Periscope lens will come with a 70mm focal length that will provide good depth of field and 3X zoom capabilities. This lens will also be provided with OIS. The third lens will be a 50MP Ultrawide one.
The integrated Zeiss Optics calibrations will provide those extra modes that photographic enthusiasts crave. Video recording capacity will top at 8K@30fps. The front camera (both folded and unfolded) will feature a 32MP one which which will have a recording capacity of 1080p@30fps.

Performance
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will have a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under its hood which will supercharge it with a peak core performance of 3.3GHz. The phone will come with Android 14 out of the box and will run Funtouch OS on top in India. Rumors say that the base variant with come with a combination of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0. It has also been hinted by Vivo that the phone will come powered by Gemini AI developed by Google bringing in AI Transcript, AI Screen Translation, AI Note Assist, etc.

Battery
The phone is supposed to be equipped with a 5700mAh juice bank, a wired charging of 100W, and a wireless charging ability of 50W. The port is a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 for fast transfer speeds.
Release Date and Price
The release date has been announced to be the 6th of June and will be available on Flipkart. The expected pricing will be under the ₹1.5L mark which will give tough competition to the existing players in the market.
