Great camera, great design and smooth Stock Android experience second to none, these are the features we typically expect from a Google Pixel smartphone. The unique selling point of these smartphones is the bloatware-free experience with the brand value of Google. However, the black sheep of the Pixel family is the low-performing Tensor chipset, which is manufactured by Samsung. The processor has led to frequent issues with thermal overall efficiency. The upcoming Google Pixel 10 series suggests otherwise, with the possibility of major changes in its Processor.

The most significant change in the Google Pixel 10 series – Tensor G5
Leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will be powered by Tensor Chips made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) but not Samsung. This has been reported by the Android Authority indicating the arrival of the Tensor G5 with the code name “Laguna Beach”. The Tensor G5, manufactured by TSMC would offer enhanced thermal performance with better electrical efficiency. The improved performance chipsets would make the upcoming Pixel, the true flagships giving competition to the upcoming iPhone 16 pro from Apple.

AI and Battery
The Google Pixel 10 series edition is rumored to offer more enhanced AI capabilities given the improvement in its processing power with the new chipsets. Furthermore, the upcoming series will have increased battery performance due to low nanometer fabrication (3nm) and increased power efficiency of the processors. The 10 Pro version is rumored to offer a 5,500 mAh battery making the smartphone last long more than a day.
Camera
The Google Pixel 10 Pro will most probably feature a triple camera layout setup with the primary shooter of a 200 MP camera offering 8k video recording at 30 fps. The other two lenses will present telephoto and ultra wide capabilities with high utilities expected from pixel phones. The further camera features in the Pixel 10 series include OIS, optical zoom capabilities and AI image enhancements.
Design and Storage
The Google Pixel 10 series can come with a titanium frame with a glass back. The unique design will be followed by the camera module looking like a Robocop. The Pixel series will offer 16 GB of RAM to support its on-device AI capabilities without the need to connect to the internet.
Launch Date
We haven’t even seen the launch of the Google Pixel 9 series which is due to arrive in 2024. It is obvious that the Pixel 10 series is not coming any time sooner than 2025. Possible delays may be seen due to possible changes in the deals between Google and TSMC regarding the production of Tensor G5. Some leaks have suggested that Google will discontinue its Pixel A series. However if there will be Google Pixel 10A it will a great rival to the upcoming iPhone SE4 by Apple in 2025.
