Concentrating on the current leaks it is probable that we will soon witness the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G. Major expected rumours for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G
1. Display
Being a foldable smartphone the Z Fold 6 will come with displays of one outer and one inner. The smartphone is expected to offer an “ironflex” foldable OLED outer display with an aspect ratio of 22:9. The display size is rumoured to be around 6.4-inch which is bigger than the 6.2-inch panel of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The major (inner) display will feature a 7.6-inch OLED panel with a 1768 x 2208 resolution (FHD+). Both displays will have a 120 Hertz refresh rate and high nits of brightness in comparison to the current Galaxy fold.
2. Design
The external screen width of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is leaked to be 60.2 offering a wider external screen for enhanced experience to its users. Like Samsung’s Ultra models the Fold 6 will probably have sharp corners making the smartphone more premium and compact in nature. The fold mechanism of the smartphone will come with a three-part hinge similar to the Fold 5. A major change in the camera module is expected due to the preference of Samsung for a more bold look. 3. Camera
It is rumoured that the Fold 6 will offer a triple camera setup with a primary camera of 200-megapixel primary sensor. The other two cameras will mostly provide a telephoto lens and an ultrawide lens for different conditions. The telephoto camera is leaked to be 10-megapixel and the ultrawide is expected to be 12-megapixel. There will be two selfie shooters one with a 10-megapixel capacity and the other will be a 4-megapixel power. The camera performance is estimated to be better than that of the Samsung Galaxy S24.
4. Memory and User Interface
Rumours suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G will come with 12GB of RAM and there are sharp possibilities of a 16GB variant also. The reason behind high RAM is that the smartphone will have Galaxy AI features which it will use without connecting to the internet. The type of storage is more likely to be UFS 4.0 offering high read and write speed. The smartphone will offer the latest OneUI 6.1.1 with Android 14 out of the box.
5. Battery
The Galaxy Fold 6 will have around 4,400 maH battery with support for 25 watts of fast wired charging and around 12.5 watts of wireless charging. The on-paper battery specs are similar to those of the previous Z Fold. However, a boost in batter performance is rumoured due to more powerful chipsets making the smartphone less power-hungry. 6. Processor
Following the footsteps of the remarkable Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra, the upcoming Fold 6 will also come with an optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC. This will be an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 3.40Ghz enhanced with the Adreno 750 GPU. The single-score of the smartphone is found to be around more than 1950 and the multi-score score is determined to be more than 6600.
7. Colours
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G will be seen in a range of a variety of colours including Silver Shadow, Navy and Light Pink. However, some rumours suggest Samsung has plans to offer exclusive colours for the Galaxy Fold 6 namely Crafted White and Crafted Black. The smartphones with these two colours will be on sale for a limited period after launch.
8. Release Date and Pricing
The next Samsung Unpacked event will be organized on July 10, 2024, featuring its upcoming smartphones, smart rings and digital smartwatches. It is hoped that Samsung will announce the launch date of Flip 6 at its upcoming event on 10 July 2014. The price for the base variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G is rumoured to be around ₹1,45,00 to ₹1,50,000 in India. In the USA the price estimated to be around $1750 to $1,800 making the smartphone quite expensive.
