1. iPhone 16 Pro series

Samsung and LG received green signals for the manufacturing process commencement of the OLED panels earlier this month for the iPhone 16 Pro series from Apple. It is a noteworthy proposition for LG which has failed to supply before Apple deadlines. Last year, the screens manufactured by LG were approved much later for the iPhone 15 Pro which gave Samsung an upper hand to increase its market share. Hopefully, Apple will consider this. The approvals for the big daddy, the upcoming Max will be received within this month-end for the Samsung-manufactured panels and by the middle of June by those manufactured by LG.

2. iPhone 16 non-Pro series

The OLED for the non-Pro iPhone 16s, i.e., the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be supplied by BOE and Samsung as per the report.

This year’s iPhone line-up may feature even thinner bezels thanks to the Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology developed by Apple.
